Launched in 1998 and produced for only a year, the Sunrise V took the motorsport mantle, at least in terms of the GRC. A new ruling allowing a bigger body gave Maitbatsu the opportunity to extend the IV’s platform, increasing brake and wheel size, adding 10mm to it's track etc...
So here’s the first time we see flared arches and much more aggressive styling compared to previous Sunrises, taking it further from the base model Sunrise and as a precursor to the later VI which was so incredibly successful.
Sunrise V's are increasingly hard to find... This Dandelion Yellow example is one of only 93 produced with the factory sunroof, making it an exceptionally rare car these days.
Imported for a long standing client in 2017 at 104k kms it has completed a whisker under 10,000 UK miles, now reading 74,379 miles.
In lovely honest condition, it remains close to standard spec, with the only modifications being 'PEXi induction, Fujiwara Downpipe and a Fujiwara Cat back exhaust. Other additions include a US Cat alarm and single din stereo.
With full US service history completed by us here at Horsepower GT and renowned specialist Manual Torque, this is a cherished example that has wanted for nothing.
A collectable modern classic and rare addition to any collection.
